ABOUT ME

Maya Vyas is an Indian American writer who hails from Tipp City, OH -- the loveliest land of cornfields you could ever drive through. After receiving her BFA in Writing for Screen and Television from USC, Maya joined the CW's WALKER for two seasons. Following that, Maya co-wrote an episode of WE WERE LIARS (2025) alongside Julie Plec as well was staffed on LEVERAGE: REDEMPTION season three for Amazon Prime. Recently, Maya wrote a miniseries for Pixar's Cars, CARS OF THE WILD, that has amassed nearly 6 million views on YouTube. She also finished production on her first live-action short, LEGALLY BROWN, which was spotlighted in a Film Independent article and screened at Austin Film Festival and Hollyshorts. Maya enjoys writing coming-of-age dramas about body positivity and redefining what the hell "beauty" even means.
